Furniture wipe with beeswax

The Cire Brille furniture wipe is a square of cotton impregnated with beeswax, which you pass directly over wooden furniture to dust it and bring back its shine. The wax is already in the cloth; there is no tin to open.

The cloth is 100% cotton, with pinked edges. It is made in France by Impregna, a workshop that produces polishing cloths for silverware, copper and waxed wood.

Rub the wood in short strokes, following the grain, then buff with a clean part of the cloth. On untreated wood, test first on a hidden spot. Between uses, keep it folded in a sealed bag so the wax does not dry out.

It is not washable: water and soap would take the wax with them. When it no longer leaves a shine, it has done its time.
