Spatula in olive wood, French handcrafted, about 30 cm.

An olive wood spatula, 30 cm long and 9 cm wide, for stirring a risotto, turning vegetables in the pan or scraping the bottom of a sauté pan. Its flat blade covers the bottom well without scratching a non-stick coating or an enamelled casserole.

It is cut from olive, a very hard wood naturally rich in oil, which makes it resistant to water and stains. Each piece has its own dark veins; no two spatulas are alike. Handmade in Provence.

Wash it by hand in hot water and dry it straight away. No dishwasher and no soaking, which would end up dulling and splitting the wood. If the surface goes matt, a wipe of cooking oil on a cloth restores its look.
