€59.25
Straight from the Olympus of gouges, an efficient and robust tool for making instruments.
Description
Made in Switzerland by a long-established family firm, this hollow, angled gouge is designed for hollowing out soundboards and instrument backs.
Made from high-carbon steel, the wide, razor-sharp 12 mm blade cuts through any type of wood.
This and the shank are forged in one piece, and the sharpening is on the inside, ensuring optimum durability and efficiency in the early stages of manufacture.
The handle is carved in the shape of a mushroom from cherry wood, while the ferrule is made of brass.
