Renaissance Wax was originally developed in the research laboratories of the British Museum in the early 1950s and is the most widely used protective wax used by major international museums to protect their collections.

The wax is applied in a thin layer, after buffing, the wax film is, and remains, completely transparent, without discoloration of the wax or the protected surface. The wax film is hard and dry, does not remain sticky. Renaissance Wax is acid-free (pH neutral) and will not damage even the most fragile materials.
